Different scenarios are developed in regard to the impact of the evoluation of the world system on the EU's external role. Cet article cherche à comprendre et a conceptualiser le rôle régional et global l'UE ainsi que son identité internationale. Il s'intéresse aux contributions concrètes de l'Union à la gouvernance global et aux implications empiriques de la notion de puissance civile. Différents scénarios sont développés concernant l'effet de l'évolution du système mondial sur le rôle extérieur de l'UE.
